That is the most awesome piece of leatherwork I've seen lately. Very cool idea and I love the antler being used to close the pouch. I might have to use this as inspiration to make something similar myself.

just said this about those who burn instruments my first leater was a hand made beer mug i di a wolf with mountains and the moon at a pagan gathering called starwood next were opposing dragons on a pair of S.C.A. gauntlets
fantastic i was in progress of planning to make a large map, when i came across your work, fantastic stuff, but i do have a question. im just using a wood burner and i find i get nothing but just black and no matter how light i try i cant seem to get a brown burnt or aged look. any word of advice. thank you for sharing your work time and art. keep it up
Thank you very much friend! I want to work more on maps, it was very interesting and I like it a lot. To get a lighter result you have to low down your wood burner temperature. If you don't had a wood burner station to do that, it's very difficult to do that but not impossible. You have to push very very little your soldering iron on leather. Sometimes (depends on leather thickness) only the hot air as you approach the hot iron to leather it's enough to make a very light shadow on surface. I hope I help you. If you want anything else feel free to ask.
Thank you very much! There is no problem to tell my "recipe", I've already did before for the same artwork. I had no way to transfer image on leather so I print the map image and then I look the image and "painted" with pyrography on leather.. That's it!
